God's Knot-The Cord of 3 Strands Ceremony symbolizes the joining of one man, one woman and God into a marriage relationship, for marriage takes three. The Bible teaches that God performs a miracle in your marriage, uniting you together in a covenant relationship with Him as one. The Cord of 3 Strands is a symbol of that sacred union created on your wedding day. By keeping Him at the center of your marriage, His love will continue to bind you together as one throughout your marriage.
*Gold Strand-Represents God at the center of the Marriage. The Lord Jesus has been invited to the position of authority in this marriage relationship.
*Purple Strand-Represents the Groom. The majesty of God is head over the husband. As a husband submits himself to the Lord, the Lord in turn will hold the marriage together through the husband.
*White Strand-Represents the Bride. This strand represents the purity of the Bride of Christ. As the Bride and Groom have received Jesus Christ as personal Saviour and Lord, they are cleansed through Christ.
At some point in the service, the Bride and Groom will braid together the Cord of 3 Strands while the Minister shares the symbolism of the ceremony.
You will receive a complimentary script with instructions along with a poem to read during this ceremony. Explanation Cards are also available for sale.
God's Knot, the Cord of 3 Strands, is a unique way to include God in your wedding ceremony, and to have a tangible reminder that He is always at the center of your marriage.
