The CANDLE Charm symbolizes the candle of dedication. After she renews her baptismal vows and her profession of faith, and offers a prayer of dedication to the Lord, The Quinceañera lights a special candle of dedication. There are usually 14 smaller candles lit by her court of honor. The 15th candle, the candle of dedication, is lit by the Quinceañera herself, symbolizing that she is to be a light in this world of darkness.
